The Met Office has predicted rain in the country’s higher regions with the likely arrival of a westerly system on 16th of April 2025 Wednesday morning, which is expected to last until the 20th of April.

“It is predicted that the heatwave would last till April 18th across Sindh, south Punjab, and portions of Balochistan.”

From April 16th to 20th, rainfall will be predicted in the following districts of “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Buner, Kurram, Bajaur, Bajaur, Mohmand, Orakzai, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan, Lakki Marwat, and Tank”.

Throughout the same time frame, with irregular breaks, rainfall is also anticipated in “Murree, Galliyat, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir”. There is also a chance of isolated hailstorms over the forecast timeframe.

In addition, a dust storm and rain are predicted for the following locations on “the 16th of April and 18–20 Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Khushab, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, and Toba Tek Singh”. The districts of “Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Pakpattan, Vehari, and Okara” in southern Punjab are anticipated to see a dust storm or gusty winds on April 18 as well as 19 April.
