According to the Met Office, heatwave conditions might develop in most regions of the country as a result of a high pressure system that has been controlling the upper atmosphere since April 13th.

“From April 13 through April 18, daytime temperatures in the southern part of the nation (Sindh, southern Punjab, and Baluchistan) are expected to stay 06 to 08 degrees Celsius above average, with temperatures in Sindh reaching as high as 46 to 48 degrees”.

From Monday, “April 14 to Friday, April 18, temperatures in central and upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to stay 04 to 06°C above average”.

The climate report also predicts softer nights over the predicted period. Throughout the forecast period, dust storms and windstorms might be caused by excessive warmth and rising temperatures.

The general public has been encouraged to take precautions, particularly women, children, and older individuals. Steer clear of direct sunlight during the day and drink plenty of water.
