Pakistani politics was not stable for the past few years, especially after the dethroning of PTI. Parties often have misconceptions or differing viewpoints regarding certain matters. However, their differing viewpoints lead to the clashes among them that last for so long.

The same case happened between PTI and the Government, as both parties have their point of view and concerns. Both of them are right at their place, but when it comes to collaboration, the parties face clashes that have a bad impact on the country’s stability.

On December 20, the National Assembly speaker called out a meeting for both parties. In the meeting, the renowned political figures from both sides (PTI & Government) took part and discussed several affairs. The negotiation between them became fruitful, and the meeting ended on a positive note.

The National Assembly, however, has a stance that Pakistani affairs can only be dealt with through negotiation. That is why these parties were called to eradicate the tension between these parties for the sake of Pakistan’s growth. The parties’ representatives were also called again to discuss other matters.

Upon this, the PTI allies showed their concern about negotiating with the Government. One of these allies was Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai. Achakzai said that although negotiation can bring fruitful results but here the situation is different.

The negotiation between PTI and Government officials does not seem appropriate because there is no point in negotiating with a party that does not have enough mandate. Achakzai, however, showed his full support for the negotiation. Even the positive outcomes of the negotiations do not deviate him from his stance on Government. He cynically added that, in this case, prayers are not accepted as he tends to show that the reality is different than it appears.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also expressed his satisfaction with Achakzai’s statements. While briefing the media, he said that he did not see PTI receive deals akin to NRO.

However, PTI’s often meetings with Imran Khan are expected as it is supposed that the party would finalize the charter of demands that demands the liberation of political leaders of PTI and the judicial inquiry of the May 9 riots and November 26 crackdown. PTI thus has to submit this charter in writing to the Government.
