Al-Qadir Trust is an organisation founded by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, in 1996. Imran Khan, who is accused of being guilty of several crimes, has been imprisoned in prison for many months. One after the other, he and his wife found themselves involved in committing crimes. On February 27, right after the general elections, Imran and Bushra Bibi were charged with being disloyal towards their country’s assets.

The United Kingdom informed NAB that Imran and his spouse obtained billions of rupees and land worth hundreds of Kanal from Bahria Town, Karachi, to legalise Rs 50 billion.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed a corruption petition against Imran, Bushra and 7 other members for transferring illegal funds that were the country’s assets. According to NAB, Imran Khan is responsible and involved in this theft.

The NAB claims that Imran and his companions were given numerous chances to justify their stance, but they failed to give satisfactory evidence to prove their honesty with the country. Moreover, Pakistan’s businessman Malik Riaz Hussain, along with his sons Ahmed Ali Riaz, Mirza Shehzad Akbar, and Zulfi Bukhari, were also involved in this crime.

NAB informed that these suspects should come forward and help the country uncover the truth, but unfortunately, all of them fled away and were recognised as proclaimed offenders (PO).

NAB informed the media that Imran and his companions have nothing to prove their innocence. Still, we have enough evidence that clearly projects them as offenders and criminals in this case. That is why they all are considered offenders in this case under National Accountability Ordinance (NAO).

Moreover, the chief of the Asset Recovery Unit, Akbar, played a significant role in designing and transferring the illegal funds. Shahzadi, who is a frontwoman of Bushra Bibi, was also seen involved in crimes.

Despite having a lot of evidence against Imran Khan and his 8 companions, he is still nullifying the allegations but has failed to give enough evidence to prove his honesty. Instead, he is saying that the whole scene is created to crush his spirit. He targeted his opposition parties and the establishment for throwing him into absurd cases. He said that the ongoing torture is meant to halt democracy in the country.

The verdict of this case would be passed on December 23, 2024, but it was postponed due to winter vacations till January 1.  Judge Nasir Javed Rana had to put forward the verdict but he gave a new date for the verdict.

The whole nation is awaiting the verdict so that peace and justice prevail and the oppressors should be punished for their crimes.
