As bomb removal and intelligence personnel start their initial examination, the area has been blocked and separated people have been banned from entering.
Due to ongoing regional tensions, a number of important air routes between Lahore and Sialkot were briefly stopped to commercial aircraft earlier this morning, based on airport sources.
It was thought that the restrictions, which started early Thursday morning, would last until midday today. The Lahore and Sialkot aviation routes will be restricted till Thursday noon, per a new Notice to Airmen (Notam) that was issued.
“A number of commercial flight routes within Lahore and Sialkot have been closed,” the Notam continued.
