Ahmed Shehzad, a cricket player from Pakistan, questioned Shadab Khan’s selection in the team and criticized him for his performance in the opening Twenty20 International match against New Zealand.

Senior Player Criticise Selection Of Shadab Khan

In an interview with a private television network, Ahmed Shehzad questioned what merit-based or performance-based requirements Shadab Khan had fulfilled to guarantee his place.

“You mention Shadab; could you tell me about his performance? Who introduced him to the group? Allow this series to conclude. The PCB has a distinct strategy, and Shadab joined the squad with a specific goal in mind”, Ahmed Shehzad continued.

Ahmed Shehzad stated that officials had sent a youthful New Zealand squad to gain time in response to reports that Shadab Khan would be the new captain.

Further Ahmed Shehzad remarked. ” Although it’s only the first T20I, we are also interested in finding out something related to these things. We’ll see what occurs next”.

Heartbreaking Performance Towards Pakistan Cricket Team

In the 1st “PAK vs. NZ T20I on Sunday”, the Pakistani cricket team suffered a heartbreaking (9) wicket loss to New Zealand. The opening pairing of the tourists, Hasan Nawaz and Muhammad Haris, were dismissed one for each after being selected to bat first at the “Hagley Oval”.

In the opening “PAK vs. NZ T20I”, Pakistan was losing wickets at “1/3 in 2.2 overs” when Irfan Khan was dismissed after failing to score (1) run.

Meanwhile captain Salman Agha contributed (18) runs to the total after all-rounder Khushdil Shah scored (32). In (18.4) overs, Pakistan was dismissed for (91), their 5th lowest total in the Twenty20 International format.

With (59) balls remaining and only (1) wicket lost, New Zealand succeeded to chase down the mark. In terms of balls left, Pakistan’s loss in the first PAK vs. NZ match was their most serious defeat in the format.

In 2018, the Pakistani cricket team lost against Australia by (9) wickets with (55) balls remaining, which was their worst ever loss.
