Over the course of the next day, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted rain, thunderstorms, and windstorms in several places, particularly in the upper and central parts.
According to the PMD, “there will probably be rain along with windstorms or thunderstorms in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper/Central Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with some regions seeing torrential rainfall and hailstorms”.

From today to the morning of the 20th of April the PMD issued a warning that insecure buildings such as electric poles, trees, cars, and solar panels might sustain damage from wind dust storms, storms of hail, and lightning.
High Weather Alert For Islamabad
Mostly overcast skies with the potential for “rain, severe weather, and rare thunderstorms or powerful downpours are forecast for Islamabad”.
While in “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Bajaur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, and Khyber” are all at risk for rain-windstorms and thunderstorms with sporadic hailstorms. In a number of higher areas, heavy rain and hail storms are predicted.
The majority of Punjab’s districts are expected to see partly cloudy weather. ” Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Layyah, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Khushab, Jhang, Lahore, Kasur, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, and Sargodha” are all expected to see rain, wind, and thunderstorms with rare hailstorms. Isolated storms and strong gusts are possible in southern Punjab.
Strong winds will likely occur over the time frame being projected, “while Sindh and Balochistan are expected to stay hot and dry”.
Hilly Areas Are Also Affect By Severe Weather
Cloudy weather with rain, thunderstorms, and the possibility of severe rainfall or hailstorms in certain locations is forecast for “Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan”.
The majority of the country had hot, dry weather during the previous “24 hours”, with record-breaking temperatures in the southern regions. But there was rain in “Gilgit-Baltistan, higher Punjab, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”.
“Rainfall totals for Dir (Upper) were 8 mm, Kalam and Chitral were 6 mm, and Mir Khani, Pattan, and Drosh were 4 mm. Bagrot 06 mm, Bunji and Astore 04 mm, Gilgit and Hunza 03 mm, Chilas 02 mm, Skardu 01 mm, and Gopis 07 mm were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan. Hafizabad in Punjab got five millimeters of rain”.
On Friday, “Dadu, Sibi, and Shaheed Benazirabad had the maximum temperatures at 47°C, although Khanpur, Padidan, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan recorded 46°C”.
To prevent weather-related dangers, the authorities encourage the people to stay attentive and adopt the right precautions.
