Babar Azam’s Unbeaten Fifty Leads Peshawar Zalmi To Victory Over Lahore Qalandars

In the 14th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season10 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalandars by 7-wickets thanks to a half-century from captain Babar Azam and a brilliant bowling display by their pacers.
Babar Azam scored his thirty-sixth fifty in his PSL career as Peshawar Zalmi get a small total of “130 in the 17th over”.
After opener Saim Ayub and Tom Kohler-Cadmore were dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afrid and Haris Rauf, respectively, in the opening 2-overs, Peshawar Zalmi got off to a terrible start and suffered a loss at 7 runs and 2 wickets.
After an early issue with Babar, Mohammad Haris spearheaded the attack, and before the conclusion of the 4-over, they had scored-40.

Haris hit a strong 20 runs off 16 balls, adding 2-sixes in the same over, before being removed by Shaheen Afridi on the final delivery of the fourth over.
Brilliant 93 Run Partnership
At this point Babar Azam and Hussain Talat’s important 93-run partnership changed the course of the match, which was tied at 40 runs and 3 wickets in the 5-over.
The two batted calmly and collectively, reaching the 100-run milestone in the 14-over. They led their team to success and stayed undefeated. Hussain Talat scored 51 runs not out off 37 balls, blasting 5-fours and a six, meanwhile Babar Azam scored 56 runs not out off 42 balls, striking 7-fours and a six.
Lahore Qalandars were invited to bat first earlier, but no one else got going until Sikandar Raza, who was bowled out, just scored 129 runs in the 20-over.
Unlucky Lahore Qalander Yesterday
Asif Ali and Fakhar Zaman were dismissed within the first 2-overs, indicating that the new starting combination was not successful for the home team. Daryl Mitchell was only able to score 2 runs of 3-deliveries, whereas Abdullah Shafique was also unable to get his account open.
After 10.5-overs, Qalandars collapsed at 67 runs and lost 7 wickets. But Sikandar Raza’s brave innings was what got them to a respectable total.
In order to get the home team out of danger, Sikandar and Haris Rauf formed a crucial combination that allowed the score to surpass 100-runs in the 15-over. After hitting 10 runs from 14 balls, including 1-four, Rauf lost wicket at this stage.
On the first ball of the last over, Sikandar Raza was removed after continuing to score runs. He hit 3-sixes and 5-fours in his quick 52 runs off 37 deliveries. Alzarri Joseph was the outstanding batsman for Peshawar Zalmi, taking 3-wickets. He was well-supported by Hussain Talat and Luke Wood, who both took 2-wickets. Arif Yaqoob and Ali Raza each took a wicket.
