Pakistan Calls UNSC On India’s Unilateral Moves In Pahalgam Attack - AAMNEWSHUB.COM

The Pakistani Ambassador, along with 15 other members, put forward Pakistan’s stance and showed its concern about India’s move in the Pahalgam attack.

Pahalgam Attack:

Recently, unknown terrorists started a firefight in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The attackers killed 26 tourists who came to visit Kashmir’s beauty. India alleged that Pakistan was responsible for this incident. It did not give any proof of Pakistan’s involvement. Despite giving any proof, the Indian media is spreading false news. Thus, India also took harsh steps against Pakistan’s sovereignty.

The Indian government violated the long-term International Indus-Water treaty. Moreover, the Indian Army also halted the entry of Pakistani officials into India. It also gave 48 hours to the Pakistani nationals and diplomats to leave the country. India also closed the border.

India’s absurd and baseless allegations and the sudden unilateral moves have made the situation worse in South Asia. Pakistan showed its reservation on an International forum. Moreover, it also condemned the incident and offered India an unbiased investigation into the matter through an impartial mediator. India thus did not react to Pakistan’s offering and initiated its steps towards the war situation in the region.

Pakistan’s reaction to India’s actions:

Pakistan has clearly stated its stance. It did not bear any atrocity by the Indian army in Pakistan’s territory. The country is ready to defend itself in case of war. The Pakistani government and other parties joined hand in hand and clearly told India that if it tried to harm Pakistan’s peace, then Pakistan would not sit silent. It, in return, will answer that India will never forget.

Pakistan called UNSC:

Pakistan, however, showed its reservation on an International forum. It pleads with the United Nations Security Council to keenly observe the matter. However, at the request of Pakistan, the UNSC held an in-camera meeting. Pakistani Ambassador Asim Iftikhar briefed the council on the Pak-India conflict in Pahalgam’s attack.

While briefing the media about the meeting, Iftikhar said that Pakistan has always tried to maintain peace in the region. It did not and will never be the one to start a war situation in the region.

He said that Pakistan is thankful to the International forums, especially the UNSC, for their time and for listening to Pakistan’s reservations about Indian moves. He said Pakistan is obliged to every member of the UNSC.

He also talked about Pakistan’s moves against India’s baseless unilateral moves. He reminded the Council that Kashmir has always been a hot topic for the last 70 years. He said that Pakistan is ready to protect its territory. Any Indian attack will not bear. Despite this, Pakistan will give tough times to every Indian action meant to deteriorate peace in the region. Pakistan also talked about India’s violation of the Indus Water Treaty.

Pakistan urges to maintain peace:

Pakistan told the UNSC that peace in South Asia would not be possible without resolving Kashmir’s issue. He said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved by keeping the Kashmir appeal or desire in mind.

Pakistan also said that Indian moves pose a serious threat to peace in the region. It also said that the peace could only be sustained when there is a peace talk with India. Iftikhar said, “Pakistan is ready for talks based on the principles of mutual respect, dignity and sovereignty.” There is no other way of peace sustained in the region without negotiation with India.
