On Wednesday evening 2nd of march 2025, a bus driving too fast overturned along Drigh Road, injuring several people, according to sources.

The wounded passengers were taken to the local hospitals by rescue personnel once they got on the site. Officials claim that the bus overturned while making a turn on Karachi’s busy route as it competed with another car.

After the rescue efforts are finished, the exact number of people hurt will be identified, the officials stated. While traveling to his duty station in Malir the past month a Red Bus driver was smashed to death.

According to reports, the event occurred near Khokhrapar No. 2 in Malir as the victim, Abdul Razzaq, a Red Bus driver, was on his way to work. The most recent occurrence matches with an increase in heavy vehicle-related traffic incidents in the city.

In order to help identify blame in the event of an accident in Karachi, DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah ordered the installation of front and rear view cameras in dumpers after the road accidents. Given the sudden increase in death from high traffic in 2025, the action was taken with the objective of public safety.
