Maryam Nawaz Kicks Off 3-Day Cultural Festival In Punjab

At Thursday’s 17th of April 2025 :Punjab Culture Day Ceremony” held at the “:Alhamra Arts Council”, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave a speech.
Maryam Nawaz addressed the value of Punjabi culture and asked the young people to study English while simultaneously feeling happy to speak Punjabi.
Punjab and its customs, she said, are fundamental to Pakistan’s identity.
Maryam Nawaz praised the “incomparable passion of Punjabi music and dance, especially Bhangra, throughout the Punjab Culture Day ceremony”.

She praised Azma Zahid Bokhari, the Minister of Information and Culture, for organizing the event and expressed respect and admiration for the cultural pride shown by the Turkish people. The chief minister of Punjab also discussed her aspirations to improve the welfare of the artists in the state and pledged to support them.

Moreover, Maryam Nawaz also discussed the government’s economic achievements, noting that foreign investment has increased, inflation has decreased, while the Pakistan Stock Exchange is setting new records.
She underlined her commitment to public welfare, emphasizing affordable necessities, healthcare, and education, as she wrapped up the Punjab Culture Day Ceremony.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the cultural importance of the Punjabi language and asked parents to develop pride in their children. She offered prayers for Punjab’s ongoing wealth and well-being.
Even before this, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif authorized “Rs15 billion” for the province’s farmers through the “Kisan Card program’s wheat help fund”. The Kisan Card provided direct financial support to wheat growers. For Punjab’s wheat growers, the government referred to the package as the “1st special, superb, and exceptional” in the province’s history. The province has made the decision to adopt the Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR) system.
