Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1 Sets National Record With 400 Days of Continuous Operation

For the 1st time in Pakistan history, Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit-1 (C-1) has operated continuously for “400 days”, setting a new national record.
Under the knowledgeable guidance of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), this milestone was reached.
In addition “Units 2 (C-2) and 4 of” the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) previously set a record for running continuously for “365 days”.
Right now, the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) runs 6-nuclear power facilities around the nation, supplying the national grid with “3530 MW” of energy. Two of these places of work, “K-2 and K-3”, are located close to Karachi, while the other four are located in Chashma, close to Mianwali.

The talent and commitment of “PAEC teams of scientists, engineers, and technicians” are responsible for the accomplishment of “C-1 NPP”. At the moment, Chashma Nuclear Power Plants “(C-1 through C-4)” are operating at high availability and capacity.
Insuring all safety requirements, Member Power, PAEC, has commended his staff at Chashma Nuclear Power Generation Station (CNPGS) on the accomplishment.
The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) merits appreciation for maintaining the stability of the national grid, which has been important to the NPP’s ongoing functioning.
In particular, “SDG-7 (Ensuring access to cheap, dependable, sustainable, and modern energy for everyone) is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” that PAEC is working to accomplish.
Since the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP) was linked to the national grid in 1972, PAEC has maintained an impressive operational record.
