Bushra Bibi Is Granted Temporary Bail In The Protest Proceedings Involving 26th Of November
Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, has been granted temporary release by the District and Session Court until the 13th of January 2025 in relation to the proceedings involving the demonstration on the 26th of November.
The hearing for the interim bail requests was presided over by Judge Shabeer Bhatti. Bushra Bibi, the wife of the PTI founder Imran Khan, arrived in court with her attorneys to request temporary release in (4) complaints that were filed against her at the Tarnol police station and (3) at the Ramana police station.
The bail was granted by the court in exchange for (Rs. 50,000) surety bonds. Whereas Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, was granted temporary relief by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on 21st of December in (32) cases until the 13th of January according to her attorney.
Details show that the widow of the PTI founder came before the Anti-Terrorism Court with her attorney and requested bail in (32) cases, which includes (23) related to the incident on the 9th of May. In (32) cases that were filed in (Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal), the former first lady was granted temporary release.
She showed up for the hearing and gave the required surety bonds in order to be granted temporary bail. Following the granting of bail, former first lady Bushra Bibi exited the court grounds; she is scheduled to return in mid-January.
The cases filed against Bushra Bibi, according to her attorney Faisal Malik, are “politically inspired and focused on justice.” Faisal Malik, who was named in (23) cases in Rawalpindi alone, told the media that the former first lady turned herself in to the Anti-Terrorism Court.
