Ahsan Iqbal Backlashes Over Imran Khan’s Release
- In a press conference, Ahsan Iqbal gave a clear stance on PTI founder Imran Khan’s release.
- He said Imran was a criminal who had damaged the country’s economy badly. That is why he would not be free from prison.
When the media asked about Imran’s liberty from prison, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that Imran Khan and his political figures left the country in a worse situation. He highlighted that during the four years of his regime, he had not done a single thing beneficial for the country’s progress. In fact, his government spoiled the image of Pakistan and Pakistani politics in an International forum.
He also added that Imran Khan sold the precious gifts of Pakistan at a lower price in order to quench his luster of wealth. He has ruined the pride of Pakistan for the sake of some amount. He criticised Imran Khan and his regime. He told the media that the party has left Pakistan in awe.

There is a remarkable difference in Pakistan’s economy now and then when PMLN left the government. He also mentioned that Pakistan has faced a huge economic crisis due to poor governance by the PTI government. He said that due to the ineligible previous government of PTI, Pakistan now needs support to stand erect. The whole country is suffering a huge loss within the country and outside the country.
Ahsan Iqbal also stated that there was not a single political party before PTI that conspired against the military. Being Pakistanis, it is our foremost priority to give respect to our military, who protect us from any unrest. Besides giving respect to the military, PTI joined hand in hand with the rivals of Pakistan. Moreover, he said that PTI took such dangerous steps against the country even though RAW had never thought to do so in the past.
Iqbal said that he and his government are taking crucial steps to stabilise the country’s economy. He said that the Federal government is making efforts to present a positive image of Pakistan to the outside world. He also praised the PMLN’s government. He said that due to PMLN’s efforts, Pakistan’s economy is making progress and leading towards a better Pakistan.
In addition, he briefed the media about the “Uraan programme”. To highlight the significance of the project, he said the project will be the turning point in Pakistan’s economy. However, he mentioned that the economy of any country rises if the country’s environment is peaceful. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s condition was not peaceful before, and in such an environment, investors are restricted from visiting the peaceful place thus restricting the economic rise in the country.
Iqbal also stressed the PTI’s stance regarding legal laws. He stated that PTI has always disrespected Pakistan’s legal institutions and laws, while PMLN has always respected them and given due respect to these institutions and laws. Moreover, PMLN has a firm belief in Pakistani courts. That is why the party did not look outside the country’s laws to resolve its internal affairs.
To conclude, he said that PMLN, along with the Federal Government, is working for a bright future for Pakistan. Moreover, the party is trying to regain the momentum needed to stabilise the economy of Pakistan.
