On Saturday 28th of December 2024, more than (6) people lost their lives and (3) were wounded in a road accident in the Punjabi town of Tandlianwala due to fog.

According to the information, a terrible vehicle accident caused by heavy fog killed (6) members of the same family, involving women and children. The automobile crashed with a tractor trolley carrying sugarcane in a suburban location because of heavy fog.

Children between the ages of three and six were among the deceased. The crash also harmed (3) other family members. The family, according to the police, is from Lahore and was on its way to Tandlianwala after getting off the highway.

Several Sections Were Blocked By Motorway Police.

The tractor trolley was captured by the police, but the driver escaped. A case has been filed against the missing driver, and the authorities are looking into the event.

Due to the heavy fog that covered the area in the early hours of Tuesday, motorway police closed various portions of the (M-2, M-3, and M-4) to all types of traffic.

The latest information, there is a lot of fog, hence the (M-2) is closed from (Thokar Niaz Beg to Kala Shah Kaku Interchange). Because of the fog’s limited visibility, the highway is also blocked to all traffic from (Kot Momin to Lillah Interchange). Because of the fog, the (M2) is still closed from (Thokar Niaz Beg to Babu Sabu).

Additionally, the (Pindi Bhattian to Multan) stretch of Motorway (M3) is blocked owing to heavy fog, and the (Samundri to Darkhana) section is closed due to low visibility caused by fog.

According to Motorway police, the closure was made with the safety and security of the public in mind.
