Indians alleged that tourists coming from different countries resided in the Pahalgam resort, where the Pakistan-led terrorists brutally killed them. Pakistan thus rejected India’s baseless claims. India, however, did not provide any evidence to support its allegation.
Pakistan also offered India to have an independent and unbiased investigation of the Pahalgam attack, but India did not accept the offer. Pakistan also put its stance in the United Nations. However, the US and the UN are well aware that Pakistan wants peace. India, on the other hand, is resisting it.

US State Department Spokesperson Stance:
While talking to the media, the State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, said that the US knows very well about the situation. It also knows Pakistan’s stance and its offering for a neutral investigation. She actually said, “Pakistan wants an independent investigation, and [the US] wants the perpetrators to be held accountable, and we are supportive of any efforts to that end.”
Bruce also said that if both nations make some commitment, then Secretary Rubio is very clear on two things. She said that Rubio and the US want to see a stop in the war situation. Moreover, it also wants that both nations should resolve their differences through negotiations.
The media persons also asked Bruce about India’s allegations of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack. Bruce, though, did not directly or indirectly affirm India’s stance. Bruce also said that both Pakistan and India should strive to maintain peace in the region. She also said that we all are well aware of the conflicts between Pakistan and India. The escalating tension is not a surprise for us. However, India’s actions following the Pahalgam attack are pathetic.
Bruce also said that the US would be there when it comes to peace talks between both nations. She also stressed that Pakistan and India should also go for peace negotiations over the war.
Meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister:
Miss Bruce informed the media that Mr Rubio had a meeting with the Foreign Minister. In a meeting, they discussed several matters, including how to de-escalate the tense situation between Pakistan and India. She also avoided sharing the meeting’s details but said the situation between Pakistan and India is critical.
In her words, “That’s certainly our policy. We think it’s important to not put details in the midst of the worldwide media when the work is being done in private between leaders.” Thus, she repeatedly emphasised that Pakistan and India should not put themselves in a war situation.
