The opposition allies alleged the government for undermining democracy.
Government blocks second day of opposition conference:
The conference was held at the Legend Hotel in Islamabad. At the conference, the opposition parties gathered to discuss human rights violations, constitutional breaches, freedom of speech, and political instability.
Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz-i-Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) accused the government of pressuring an Islamabad hotel to cancel the second day of its conference. Despite this, opposition leaders vowed to continue their event.
Abbasi blames the Government for undermining democracy:
Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi criticized the government for weakening democracy and the judicial system. He said political parties in power abandon their principles. He pointed out that both PML-N and PPP once supported the same stance as TTAP but changed their views after gaining power.

Abbasi accused the government of blocking multiple venues to prevent the event. He thanked the lawyers who provided the space for the conference and criticized the government for fearing a constitutional discussion.
Achakzai calls assembly illegitimate:
Mahmood Khan Achakzai declared the current National Assembly illegitimate, criticized the February 8 elections, and argued that true independence had not reached the people even after 70 years. Achakzai pledged to hold the government accountable and fight for constitutional supremacy.
Media suppression and Press freedom:
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) accused political parties of suppressing the media after coming to power. Journalist Asma Shirazi also highlighted the spread of fake news within opposition ranks and urged all political figures to act responsibly.
Conference permission controversy:
Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz-i-Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) announced a two-day national conference to address Pakistan’s political situation. However, on the second day, Legend Hotel withdrew permission under alleged government pressure. Despite this, opposition leaders refused to cancel the event.
Abbasi’s response to the cancellation:
Abbasi stated that the event focused only on the Constitution and the rule of law. He denied any agenda against the state. He criticized the government for spending billions on advertisements but was afraid of a single conference.
