Whereas activists burned “(3) water tankers and an ice truck at Madiha Stop in North Karachi, while (5) dumpers were set on fire close to the North Karachi Power House area”.

Furthermore, angry demonstrators burned a water tanker in Surjani Town, which is close to Baba Mor. A large police presence showed up at the sites after hearing about the occurrences.

The fire department assisted in putting out the fires, and attempts were made to remove the burned-out cars from the locations.

On the other hand DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah previously said that computerized monitoring of heavy traffic will aid in preventing traffic accidents.

In order to better identify who is at blame in an accident, DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah has ordered that front and rear view cameras be installed in dumpers.

The decision comes against the growing number of road accidents created by heavy vehicles. According to DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah’s directions, “trackers will also be put in all dumpers operating on Karachi’s roads to watch their movements by the traffic police from its control room”.
