According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), ten Khwarij were killed following an IBO in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and a Pakistan Army commander accepted martyrdom.

According to the ISPR, “Security Forces carried out an (intelligence-based) operation in Dera Ismail Khan District on the twentieth of March 2025, regarding the reported involvement of Khwarij.”

“Own troops successfully battled Khwarij during the operation, and as a result, each of the ten Khwarij were killed.”

Still, ISPR said that (24-year-old) Captain Hasnain Akhtar of District Jhelum bravely led his soldiers from the front during a bloody firefight, accepting martyrdom.

According to the military’s media wing, Captain Husnain was a great officer who was well-known for his bravery, confidence, and daring actions during earlier missions.

The killed Khwarij was also found to have guns and ammo during the operation. He continued to be actively involved in a number of terrorist attacks against law enforcement departments and the targeted murder of innocent civilians.
