The CEO Of PIA Makes A Significant Statement For 2025
Khurram Mushtaq, the acting CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has stated that the airline will resume operating a number of its grounded aircraft starting in the upcoming year.
The CEO of Pakistan International Airlines stated that the airline intends to activate (Airbus and Boeing 777 aircraft) over the period of (6) months to come, bringing the total number of aircraft in operation to (24).
Explain Operational Activity
Khurram Mushtaq, the interim CEO, disclosed that just (16) of PIA’s (34) aircraft were in service. But in only (3) weeks, the PIA crew put forth a lot of effort to have (3) planes—a (Boeing 777, an Airbus 320), and an ATR—activated for aerial operations. Consequently, the fleet presently consists of (19) operational aircraft.
Whereas the (Boeing 777) aircraft would be utilized for aviation operations in European nations, Khurram Mushtaq added. They are also speeding up preparations for the Hajj activities in 2025.
“We intend to activate all (34) of PIA’s aircraft this year,” the chief executive officer stated, adding that the airline’s income will rise dramatically as a result of these efforts.
Notably, PIA has also authorized a (25%) pay raise for its staff members. Pakistan International Airlines expanded its fleet of aircraft by (2) years ago.
In a press release, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan stated, “The government takes responsibility for PIA’s progress, which is shown by the fact that the total number of aircraft in its operational fleet keeps growing, regardless of the difficult financial circumstances of the country.”
After all the arrangements were finalized, he claimed, a new Airbus (320) aircraft that had just arrived had also been added to the timetable. “The new Airbus (320) made its 1st commercial flight from (Islamabad to Karachi) yesterday, flying as (PK-309).”
