President Asif Ali Zardari showed his full support to Pakistan’s armed forces and praised their efforts in keeping Pakistan’s sovereignty. 

Unification of leaders in Pak-India conflict:

President Asif Ali Zardari has thrown his full support behind Pakistan’s armed forces after India allegedly launched unprovoked missile strikes. Pakistan has responded with a large-scale military operation, codenamed Operation Bunyan-al-un-Marsoos. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the President at Aiwan-e-Sadr to brief him on the nation’s counter-response. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also attended the meeting.

Zardari praises the military’s swift response:

Zardari praised the military for a powerful response to India’s attack. He also stated that Pakistan has always strived to maintain peace in the region but never at the cost of the sovereignty of its motherland. Zardari said, “We have shown restraint for too long. But India’s constant provocations have left us with no choice.” He stressed that the entire Pakistani nation stands solidly behind its armed forces, committed to defending every inch of the country’s land.

Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos:

Pakistan began its retaliatory strikes in response to Indian attacks that targeted civilian areas and places of worship. Military sources confirmed that multiple Indian military sites are being targeted under Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos. A military spokesperson said, “We will never forget their sacrifice.”

Key Indian air bases damaged:

The retaliation appears to have hit India hard. Indian officials admitted that several of their air bases suffered serious damage. At a press conference in India, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri revealed that Pakistan’s strikes damaged equipment and injured personnel at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, Bhuj, and Bathinda.
