Yemen Rocket Hits Tel Aviv, Mildly Injuring 14 Persons
Early on Saturday 21st of December, 2024, the ambulance service reported that (14) persons suffered minor injuries, while the Israeli military claimed that it was unable to stop a Yemeni missile that dropped in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa region.
According to a statement from the ambulance service, (14) persons were receiving treatment from paramedics for minor shrapnel injuries, some of whom were admitted to the hospital.
There have been reports of a falling missile in a community near Tel Aviv, based on Israeli authorities.
Sympathy with Palestinians
As a show of sympathy with the Palestinians in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen have launched (missiles and drones) at Israel on many occasions.
Meanwhile Israel warned of further strikes against the Yemeni group on Thursday, targeting (ports and electrical facilities) in areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthis.
Early on Thursday 20th of December, (9) people were murdered by Israeli attacks on Yemen, according to Al Masirah TV, the primary television news channel operated by the Houthi movement, which controls a large portion of the nation.
Al Masirah disclosed that (7) people were murdered in a hit on the port of Salif and the remaining people were killed in (2) strikes on the Ras Issa oil plant, all of which are in the western province of Hodeidah.
It further stated that (2) important power plants (north and south) of the capital, Sanaa, were also the target of the strikes.
“Conducted surgical strikes on Houthi military positions in Yemen, especially ports and energy infrastructure in Sanaa,” the Israeli military stated in a statement.
