On 1st of  March, 2025, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted a “good chance” of seeing the Ramadan (1446 AH) moon. If the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) prediction for the start of the holy month is accurate, the 1st day of Ramadan will fall on Sunday, the 2nd of March.

Furthermore in the Islamic lunar calendar, the 9th month is Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, also known as the month of fasting. Muslims are urged to concentrate on prayer activities like “prayer, reading the holy Quran, and charitable giving” throughout the fast, and they are forbidden from “eating, drinking, chatting, and cursing”.

It’s a period for self-awareness, self-control, and greater devotion to religion. Muslims are reminded to concentrate on “prayer, reading the Quran, and doing good deeds” throughout this month.
