Rassie Van Der Dussen To Play For Islamabad United In PSL 10

For the balance of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen is playing for Islamabad United.
Before the event resumed, the defending champions posted on X to confirm his attendance. In a statement, the team said, “Islamabad United is thrilled to welcome South Africa’s star batter Rassie van der Dussen for the final match of HBL PSL X.”
“Rassie is a world-class player with a tremendous record in all forms, and his participation further enhances the Pakistan Super League”, the statement continued.

Islamabad United selected Rassie van der Dussen in the Supplementary category for the PSL 10, however he was unable to join the team for personal reasons, therefore Kyle Mayers of the West Indies took his place.
He will now play for the United in the final Pakistan Super League games of the 10th edition. It is important to note that the South African batter has participated in both PSL seasons.
He played for Lahore Qalandars in 2024 after making his debut for Islamabad United in 2023. The PSL 10 will return on the 17th of May following a temporary halt brought on by the growing conflict among India and Pakistan.
The match against Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will mark the tournament’s return, according to the updated schedule.
Alex Hales, a previous batter for England, had already returned to the United team for the rest of the competition.
Hales stated he was “absolutely thrilled to be back in Pakistan playing in Red” in a statement released by the team. ” I’m hoping I can assist the squad attempt for another championship”.
