Imran Khan’s release hoped within days:

PTI leaders are hoping that Imran Khan will soon be released. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s remark shows optimism that soon Khan will be out of prison. While the courts are still reviewing appeals against Khan’s convictions. Despite the appeals, PTI leadership appears confident that some legal or political breakthrough is near. PTI leaders are repeatedly saying that Imran’s imprisonment is absurd, unjust and politically driven. They stressed that the cases against Khan were fabricated to keep him out of politics.

A moment for National unity:

While talking about the conflict with India, Gohar said that we triumphed because of our national or internal unity. He made a statement, “When we’re united, we can face any external threat.” He added that improved ties with global powers might open the door to political stability at home.

The government denies any deal or talks:

The Government was asked about the release of the incarcerated ex-premier Imran Khan and the ongoing negotiation with PTI. The government clarified that the government is not on talking terms with PTI, not even in talks about the Khan’s release. PML-N leader Irfan Siddiqui clarified that no one, including Khan, would get special treatment. He said, “Justice must be equal for all. If we make exceptions for one person, what about the 90,000 others in prisons across the country?” He stressed, “There is no dialogue, official or secret,  taking place with Imran Khan.”

PTI warned against false hopes:

Siddiqui alleged PTI’s involvement in getting international help for its interest. He warned PTI not to expect this leniency anymore from anywhere. He accused the former PTI-led government of using state power to silence its critics and is now expecting leniency in return. Siddiqui responded to the reports of PTI trying to bring a no-confidence motion against the PM or NA speaker and said, “If they have the numbers, we’ll respond democratically and confidently.”

PTI condemns Indian actions on water disputes:

PTI also commented on the Pak-India war and India’s moves against Pakistan, especially over water-sharing issues. Party leader Sheikh Waqas Akram accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying to “weaponize water” by fast-tracking dam and canal projects on rivers flowing into Pakistan. Akram highlighted India’s alleged violations of the Indus Waters Treaty. He urged the Pakistani government to adopt a more active and strategic approach to counter India’s moves.
