Shoaib Akhtar Disappointed As PCB Skips Champions Trophy 2025 Award Event

Despite being the host nation, former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar has voiced disappointment that PCB representatives were not present at the International Cricket Council Champions Trophy 2025 awarding event.
“India has won the ICC Champions Trophy, but one unexpected thing came to light that nobody from the Pakistan Cricket Board was present,” Shoaib Akhtar said in a video message, expressing his dissatisfaction. This event was being hosted by Pakistan, and our nation was not recognized.
Several Question Aries On PCB
According to Shoaib Akhtar, the PCB must be present in the Champions Trophy as it is a worldwide platform. He criticized the fact that no PCB member attended the event in spite of Pakistan’s hosting responsibilities.
“I don’t understand why Pakistan, the host nation, wasn’t represented at the event. Why wasn’t a PCB representative there to give the trophy?” also said Shoaib Akhtar.

India, who were supposed to chase (252), crossed the finish line with (6) wickets and (6) balls remaining to win the title. India’s achievement in the Champions Trophy 2025 final marks the tournament’s 3rd-ever record-breaking victory.
