Security Forces Foil Attack On Bannu Cantt, Eliminate 16 Terrorists

On Wednesday 5th of March 2025, according to a report, which mentioned Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani security forces stopped a terrorist attack on Bannu Cantt, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In addition the public relations arm of the military claims that in order to stop a suicidal attack on Bannū Cantt, Pakistani security forces killed (16) Khawarij terrorists, including (4) suicide bombers. ISPR said that despite the terrorists’ attempts to cause disaster security personnel responded quickly and successfully.
In an attempt to get past the security barrier, the attackers crashed (2) cars loaded with explosives against the cantonment wall. Even so, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that (16) terrorists, which involves (4) suicide bombers, were killed as a result of the strength and quick reaction of security officers.

Whereas (5) security men bravely fought and accepted martyrdom throughout the operation. A neighboring mosque and residential structures were severely destroyed, while the perimeter wall was damaged by the suicide explosives. According to ISPR, this led to the deaths of (13) innocent civilians and the injuries of (32) more.
Evidence of Afghan nationals’ connection in the Bannu Cantt attack has been found by the initial inquiry. ISPR further claimed that the controllers of Khawarij militants operating out of Afghanistan were responsible for the incident. Pakistan wants the Afghan interim government to follow through on its commitments and keep its territory from being utilized against Pakistan, the statement added. “Pakistan holds the right to respond to cross-border terrorism by taking the appropriate actions.”
