Oman Introduces Entry Fees At Sultan Qaboos Mosque - aamnewshub.com

According to the Times of Oman, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Oman, has raised admission fees in an effort to manage the growing number of visitors while upgrading services.

The Grand Mosque is well-known for its beautiful architecture, which includes a massive prayer carpet that was once recognized as the largest in the world and a magnificent (14-meter) chandelier.

As a result, the mosque is a must-see location for both domestic and foreign tourists. However, the decision caused confusion on social media, with many users wondering how a mosque can charge for their arrival.

Information Of Prices For Entry Has Been Updated.

The SQHCCS (Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science) responded to these worries by clarifying that the payments are just for controlling guest access and do not cover basic mosque entrance.

According to the SQHCCS (Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science), the Grand Mosque is the most popular tourist destination in Oman. As the number of visitors increases, a management system is required to maintain the mosque’s attractions and ensure that everyone has a good time.

In order to improve the mosque’s cultural features and provide (small and medium-sized) businesses a chance to participate in connected projects, the Grand Mosque’s administration has teamed up with the private sector, according to a statement from SQHCCS (Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science).

As per the statement, (35) Omani guides have been hired by the contractual business to help guests in their own languages and are in charge of (organization, neatness, and safety).

Muslims can enter the mosque for free during prayer hours, and there are no costs for visits for (religious, cultural, or scientific) purposes.
