Yousuf Raza Gilani Acquitted In Three Corruption Trials

According to sources on Friday 7th of march 2025, Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani was cleared by the Anti-Corruption Court in “3” instances, including the one involving the TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan).
Yousuf Raza Gilani made an appearance before the Federal Anti-Corruption Court, according to the information. The court heard arguments from Farooq H. Naek, Gilani’s attorney.
In addition Yousuf Raza Gilani was cleared of all corruption complaints by the anti-corruption court after it reviewed the case and ruled him innocent. Gilani was charged with scamming the national exchequer of more than “Rs6 billion” through “freight subsidy fraud”.

Whereas Yousuf Raza Gilani discussed the verdict, stating that the “individual who gave evidence against him is now also a charged party”.
More than “70 lawsuits” were brought against different businesses and individuals in 2013 as part of the TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) mega-scandal, which reportedly included billions of dollars in wrongdoing. It should be mentioned that Makhdoom Amin Fahim, the late leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, was also named in the TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) scam. After hearing the Trade Development Authority scandal case in 2015, the court announced not eligible for bail warrants for arrest for “Amin Fahim and Yousuf Raza Gillani”.
