What is the true situation of the “Crypto Queen”?

Crypto Queen

Did Ignatova(crypto queen) enjoy the billions of dollars she stole or was she killed by the very people who were supposed to protect her? Roja Ignatova, a graduate of Oxford University, was born in Bulgaria and raised in Germany. He had a successful career in finance before launching the cryptocurrency OneCoin in 2014. Ignatova convinced millions of people around the world to invest in OneCoin and showed them the dream that the profits that investors had previously made in Bitcoin would be dwarfed by the profits of their currency. But in reality, Ignatova, alias Dr Roja, cleverly committed investment fraud without digital records.

When German and US investigators sought to capture Ignatova in October 2017, she took an early morning Ryanair flight from Sofia to Athens and was never seen again. He said that his name was Herstophorus Nikos Amnatadis, who was popularly known as ‘Taki’. These are the people who were entrusted with the task of protecting Ignatova. In his first interview since retiring at the end of 2023, Reinhardt told us that ‘allegedly a drug lord was in charge of his security.’ ‘Taki was mentioned more than once, it wasn’t like he came once. His name came up again and again. His name was consistent with the information we already had. US government lawyers mentioned Ignatova’s security chief in 2019 as a major organized crime figure in Bulgaria but did not name him.

An assistant attorney said: ‘We have evidence that a very important, though not the biggest, drug trafficker in Bulgaria was closely associated with OneCoin and that he (Roja Ignatova)’s personal Worked as a security guard.’ Another US government lawyer said it was the same ‘head of security’ who was ‘involved in Ignatova’s disappearance’. According to Reinhardt, Ignatova was a more complex criminal than people think. Think of it as ‘they’re like a white-collar criminal working with a drug trafficker or a mafia on steroids.’ This theory seems to be supported by leaked Europol documents which show that before Ignatova went missing in 2017, Bulgarian police learned of links between her and Taki.

In his native Bulgaria, Taki has almost the same legendary status as El Chapo or Pablo Escobar. He is suspected of being the head of an organized crime organization in Bulgaria and a major drug trafficker. There, he and his accomplices were investigated for armed robbery, drug trafficking, and murder, but were never prosecuted. In 2022, Bulgarian investigative journalist Dimitar Satyanov and his colleagues at the investigative news outlet Bird.BG are handed a police report they found at the home of a slain Bulgarian police officer.

The document cites a police informant who overheard Taki’s sister-in-law drunkenly say that Ignatova was killed on Taki’s orders in late 2018 and her body dismembered. He was taken from a boat and thrown into the Ionian Sea. In May 2023, Koro was murdered at his home in Cape Town, along with his wife and two other people who worked for him. South African police are still looking for the killers, but former Bulgarian deputy minister Hristanov believes Koro’s murder is also linked to Taki. ‘They only remove a person’s name from the list when they have conclusive evidence that the person is dead. And from what has emerged so far, it seems that no picture or body of Ignatova will ever be found.’ This means that the search for Ignatova is currently underway.
