US State Department Spokesperson Increased Hopes on the Resolution of Kashmir Issue - AAMNEWSHUB.COM

WASHINGTON: On Wednesday, while briefing the media, the US Department Spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, said that Trump has made the impossible possible and is now ready to solve the long-run Kashmir issue.

Trump’s remarks on the ceasefire deal:

The ongoing conflict between Pakistan and India intensified. The two nuclear neighboring countries attacked each other. India alleged Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack. However, it did not provide any concrete evidence to support its allegation.

Pakistan thus denied the allegation and asked for a proper, unbiased investigation of the matter that India denied. On the basis of the false allegation, India targeted Pakistan and attacked the residential places that India claimed were the terrorist hub.

Pakistan condemned the incident and attacked back to protect the sovereignty of the country. The mutual attack on each other’s sides raised global concerns and forced Trump to step in as a mediator.

Trump, in his Truth social media account, wrote a message in which it said that the US has played its role and, after overnight talks with both parties, the ceasefire has been announced.

However, Pakistan and India did not officially praise Trump or acknowledge his efforts in the ceasefire deal. Trump spoke in the Oval Office and said, “They don’t give me credit for anything, but nobody else could have stopped it.”

US stance on the Kashmir issue:

The United States has always had a good relationship with both countries, Pakistan and India. The major reason for the conflict between Pakistan and India is Kashmir. The two countries claimed Kashmir’s ownership. That is why Kashmir has been divided into two: the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Azad Kashmir.

After a recent war-like situation between Pakistan and India, Donald Trump, the US president, offered the US support in resolving the Kashmir conflict. He said, “I will work with both of you to see if, after a ‘thousand years,’ a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir.” His remarks show an unbiased approach to resolving the Kashmir conflict for both nations.

Bruce on Trump’s statement:

The US State Department spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, was asked in a press conference about Trump’s offer to Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir conflict. Bruce remarked, “So, while I can’t speak to his plans, the world knows his nature, and I can’t speak to any details of what he might have in that regard.” She, however, added that the White House might have a lot to talk about this matter.

She also made remarks on resolving the Kashmir conflict. She said, “Trump has been the only one to bring certain people to the table to have conversations that nobody thought was possible.” Her remarks increased the hope that now the Kashmir issue can be resolved. She also said, “It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he’d want to manage something like that.”

Bruce remarks on the Pak-India delegation visit:

After the ceasefire deal between Pakistan and India, both countries sent their delegation to Washington. Their visit was meant to inform the international community about their country’s stance in the war and the present situation. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led the delegation from Pakistan’s side, and Shashi Kapoor led India’s delegation.

Bruce was asked about the delegation’s visit and the US role in the Pakistan and India matter. She said that the Pakistani delegation met with the State Department official and the Secretary for Political Affairs, Allison Hooker.

She said that the delegation talked about the bilateral relationship between both countries. She also added US support in maintaining peace in the region. She added, “We also know that Deputy Secretary Landau met with the Indian parliamentary delegation last week, and he also reaffirmed the United States strong support of India in the fight against terrorism.”
