The Economic Coordination Committee has approved conditional sugar exports (ECC)
The federal cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved the Ministry of Industry and Production’s (150,000 ton) sugar export. The permission is conditional upon the sugar exports stopping an increase in domestic sugar prices. The ECC warned that export authorization would be canceled in the unlikely situation that sugar prices rise.
According to details, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) met under the chairmanship of Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister of (Finance and Revenue). Members of the group included (federal secretaries), senior officials from the relevant ministries, (Ministers of Industries & Production Rana Tanveer Hussain), (Petroleum Minister Musaddiq Masood Malik), as well as Power Minister Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari).
The Defence Division’s proposal for the Green Tourism Pakistan Project was accepted by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), along with others from different government ministries and divisions.
The Ministry of Interior received permission for (Rs. 0.6 billion) to raise 3 additional Corps Headquarters, (Rs. 87 million) for the Headquarters of Frontier Corps KP, and (Rs. 4,637 million) for the Civil Armed Forces to meet operational requirements and outstanding balance responsibilities.

On the other side, the Cabinet Division was permitted to receive (Rs 126.848 million) to settle remaining customs duties and taxes; the President Secretariat was permitted to receive (Rs 29 million) to cover employee-related spending; plus the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination was permitted to receive (Rs 5,400 million) for the Federal Directorate of Immunisation (FDI) to carry out immunization activities. Furthermore, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved the following: {(Rs 4.4.92 billion) for familial support packages and social programs in the fields of health and education in Gilgit-Baltistan};
{(Rs 6,596 million) to the Ministry of National Food Security & Research for the settlement of remaining bills to PASSCO}; {(Rs 370 million) to the Ministry of Housing and Works for the payment of remaining debts};{(Rs 332 million) to the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the development of the Somali National Identification System by NADRA}; {as well as (Rs 14,250 million) to the Finance Division as Rupee protect to enable the effective completion of the Women Inclusive Finance Project}.
