Sindh, Punjab, And KP Announce Summer School Vacations Amid Heatwave

According to sources, Sindh declared summer vacation for the whole province, beginning on the first of June

According to information, summer break has been declared throughout the province by the Sindh Education Department.

The official announcement states that from the “first of June to the final day of July” all public and private educational establishments in Sindh would be closed.

Additionally, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) administration has declared summer vacations for both public and private schools throughout the province.

A statement from the K-P Department of Education states that elementary schools in the summer zone (plains regions) will have summer vacations from the “first of June to the final day of August”.

On the other hand, the Punjab administration had previously declared that all schools in the province will start their summer break on the 28th of May.

The decision was made in light of the current extreme heatwave, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said in a statement.

To safeguard pupils from severe heat waves, updated school schedules have been established in addition to the holiday timetable. Until the start of summer vacation, all schools will now be open from “7:30 am until 11:30 am”.
