Security Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Killed 19 Terrorists

On Thursday, the military media wing issued a statement that said that three different security operations have been carried out across KP, killing 19 terrorists.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, “On 9-10 September, nineteen Khwarij belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell in three separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.”

The term ‘Fitna al Khwarij’ is used to refer to the terrorists, particularly the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. Later on, the term was modified and known as ‘Fitna al Hindustan.’ This term is designated for Balochistan-based groups. The term also highlights India’s role in deteriorating the peace of the region.

The ISPR said that they got the news of the terrorist’s presence in KP’s Mohmand district. The statement said the operation was carried out in that district. According to the statement, “During the conduct of [the] operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij’s location, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen Indian-sponsored Khwarij were sent to hell.”

The second operation was carried out in the general Datta Khel area of the North Waziristan district. As per the statement, four terrorists were killed in that area. The third operation was done in Bannu. In this operation, one more terrorist was killed.

The statement said, “Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian-sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas. Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.”

The government praised military efforts:

The Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Pakistan commended the sacrifices made by the military in these operations. Moreover, they congratulated the success of the operations that killed 19 terrorists. 

According to Radio Pakistan, Zardari praised the soldiers and their unwavering courage in destroying the terrorists’ hub to maintain peace in the region. As per the report, Zardari said, “He emphasised that such operations demonstrate Pakistan’s unshakeable resolve to confront and defeat Indian-sponsored terrorism.”

Shehbaz Sharif also applauds the efforts of the military personnel in lessening the terror threats in the region. He said, “The war against terrorism will continue until this scourge is completely eradicated from the country. Officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army are tirelessly engaged day and night to foil the nefarious designs of the Khawarij and the Fitna of Hindustan.”
