Saudi Royal Mohammed Bin Fahd Passes Away

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd, (75 years old), prior emir of the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, died on Tuesday 28th of January.
Prince Mohammed bin’s funeral prayer will be held in the “Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque” in “Riyadh” on Wednesday 29th of January after “Asr” prayer, the Royal Court said in an announcement.
While “King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz’s 2nd son, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd, was born in Riyadh in 1950” and obtained his intellectual education from the “Capital Model Institute”.

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd earned a bachelor’s degree in (political science and economics) from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating, he performed in the private sector, however he gradually experienced a variety of public duties. In the early 1970s, he held a sizable stake in the “Al Bilad” organization.
Successful Career
He was thereafter appointed assistant deputy to the interior minister. In the year 1985, he was named emir of the Eastern Province, a position he held until 2013.
He founded the “Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development” in 1999, and since then, it has started a number of humanitarian activities. He was the foundation’s creator and chairman of the Board of Trustees, which created the “SHIFAA” fund to support medical care.
The organization was established to achieve humanitarian goals on a local and global scale. Developing creative solutions to the issues that societies face reflects these goals. The late Prince established many kinds of organizations and programs to support different social groups and tackle humanitarian development issues within as well as out of Saudi Arabia.
These included the “Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Program for Youth Development”, which won the “Dubai/United Nations World Award for Best Practices in Improving Living Conditions” in 2002 and the “Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work” in 2007.
Meanwhile in the Eastern Province, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd also founded Prince Mohammad University, a private university. In 2016, Prince Mohammed bin Fahd received an honorary doctorate of public service from the University of Central Florida in the United States.
Sadness Over Death Is Expressed By PM Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, meantime, has conveyed his deep sorrow over the death of “His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud”, the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia’s son and former governor of the Eastern Province.
He commented in a social media post on X that people would never forget Prince Mohammed bin Fahd’s outstanding accomplishments to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his record of devoted public service. On behalf of the people of Pakistan, the Prime Minister sent his deepest sympathies to the “Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, members of the Royal Family, and the people of Saudi Arabia, as well as to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.”
