Rizwan Hopes To Continue His T20 Winning Streak Into The ODIs Against the West Indies.

In the forthcoming Pakistan vs. West Indies ODIs, Pakistan skipper Muhammad Rizwan has stated his desire to maintain the winning momentum from the T20I series.
On 8th of August 2025, the two teams will kick off their (3) match ODI series at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad.
While, 2nd match between the national team and the hosts is scheduled for 10th of August 2025; the 3rd and final Pakistan vs. West Indies ODI is scheduled for 12th of August 2025.
Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan expressed the confidence in his team’s ability to continue the winning rhythm from the T20I series into the (50) over series ahead of the opening ODI.
The wicketkeeping batsman said that the Pakistani team practiced for two days in a row in a video posted by the PCB’s YouTube page. “For (2) days, we diligently prepared for our day and night games. The team has gained winning momentum as a result of the T20I series success. In the ODIs, we’ll attempt to maintain the momentum,” he stated.
In order to balance the team for the Pakistan vs. West Indies ODI series, Mohammad Rizwan praised the addition of youthful talent. “We have an unidentified spinner in Abrar Ahmed, and we have seen Sufiyan Muqeem in excellent rhythm. If we get the perfect pitches, that can be our trump card,” the skipper of Pakistan stated.
Additionally, he highlighted the value of older players like “Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Afridi in the team”. Rizwan acknowledged that the national team suffered a loss due to Fakhar Zaman’s injury in the batting position.
However, it also gives up-and-coming artists a chance to shine without him. He stated, “Hassan Nawaz has been playing for a while and has won games for Pakistan.” The captain of Pakistan voiced trust that the young player would be crucial to the team’s victory in the ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies.
