Qatar Rethinks Its Mediator Role in Gaza-Israel Conflict

- Benjamin Netanyahu is not ready to halt his genocidal attacks on Gaza and Hamas Leaders. Global leaders, including the US, had issued him several warnings, but Israel again targeted Hamas leaders in Qatar.
- The US has clearly backed itself in the recent attack on the Hamas leaders.
- Qatar, along with other countries, is rethinking its ties with Israel.
Israel’s use of Qatar territory in attacking Hamas leaders:
Israel has continued its massacre of innocent people. Many ceasefire agreements have been made. Qatar is playing the mediator role in de-escalating the tension between Israel and Gaza.
Hamas, however, has repeatedly given its consent to the clauses of the ceasefire agreement, but Israel has never shown its agreement. Beyond all the efforts of mediation, Israel again targeted the Hamas leaders in Qatar.
It seems that Israel is playing tricks with the global leaders and is not ready to lessen the war tension with Gaza. Doha and Egypt have played a crucial role in lessening the war tension. They were trying their level best to ease the tension and free the prisoners from both sides.
Israel is putting all the efforts of the mediators in a bin. Beyond the mediator’s efforts and Hamas’ agreement to the clauses of the ceasefire deal, Netanyahu is still unstoppable. Even the closest ally of Israel, the US, also took a step back and declared that it had no role in a recent attack on the Hamas leaders in Qatar.
On Wednesday, the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, told the news agency that Israel has put the security of the Gulf region at risk with its unstoppable moves that are destroying the peace of the Middle East.
The Qatari Prime Minister also said that Qatar is rethinking its mediator role as well as the future of Hamas’s leaders in Qatari territory. He said the decision to rethink these matters is the result of the Israeli aggression that is not going to halt on any terms.
Israel’s aggression has claimed the lives of the five Hamas negotiating leaders. That is why Israel’s attacks are now cautioning Qatar.
The US rejected its involvement in the Israeli airstrike:
Donald Trump, however, made it clear that he was totally unaware of the recent attack on the Hamas negotiating leaders. Trump said that he was not thrilled about the whole situation.
In a post on social media, Trump said that Qatar is a strong ally of the US. Qatar has given Boeing 747-8 jets to Trump to use as his presidential plane. Moreover, Qatar is also home to a US airbase.
Trump wrote on Social media, “This was a decision made by Prime Minister Netanyahu; it was not a decision made by me.” The US President also told the Qatari Emir on a phone call that such an attack will never happen again on Qatari territory.
Israel, thus, gave a contradictory statement, and its actions clearly portray that such attacks on its enemies can happen anywhere in the world. Israel Defence Minister Israel Katz said, “There is no place where they can hide.”
The Israeli ambassador said that if the Hamas leaders survive Tuesday’s attack, then they will be killed soon.

The UNSC meeting is convened:
On Wednesday, Pakistan joined Algeria and Somalia in convening an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council. The meeting is convened due to Israel’s attack on the Hamas peace makers in Qatar territory.
The meeting has been scheduled for Thursday. The Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, said that Pakistan has formally requested the Security Council to take steps against Israeli aggression. He called out “Israel’s aggression against Qatar as a grave threat to international peace and security.”
It is expected that the upcoming meeting of the UNSC will discuss the serious implications of Israel’s brutality. The Saudi Crown also came forward in support of Doha and condemned the Israeli strikes on Hamas.
He said, “The brutal aggression against the sisterly state of Qatar requires Arab, Islamic, and international action.” Canada, Jordan, and other countries also showed their support for Qatar and said that the use of Qatar’s territory is highly unacceptable.
