Punjab Releases The New Winter School Schedule.

New winter school schedules for all public and private schools in Punjab have been formally released by the government.

According to a notice released by the School Education Department, the updated timetable will be in effect until “March 31st, 2026”, having taken effect on “October 16th, 2025”.

According to the new timetable,

• Courses at boys’ schools will end at “12:30 pm on Fridays” and run from “8:45 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday”.
• The hours for girls’ single-shift schools are “8:30 am to 2:30 pm, with lessons finishing at 12:15 pm on Fridays”.
• The 1st shift in double-shift boys‘ schools runs from “8:45 am to 12:45 pm Monday through Thursday and till 12:30 pm on Fridays”.
• From “Monday through Thursday, the 2nd shift will start at 1:00 pm” and terminate at “5:00 pm; on Fridays, it will end at 2:00 pm”.
• The morning shift for girls’ double-shift schools will run from “8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday to their 12:15 pm on Fridays”.
• On weekdays, the afternoon shift will run from “12:45 to 4:45 p.m., and on Fridays, it will run from 1:45 to 4:45 p.m”.

According to the government, the modification is designed to take into consideration for seasonal variations and guarantee an easy academic schedule throughout the winter. To ensure consistency and efficiency in the teaching hours, schools have been instructed to carefully comply with to the new schedule.
