PMD forecasts Rawalpindi weather conditions for Pakistan vs New Zealand T20Is

Rain is expected to disturb Pakistan’s (5) match T20I series against New Zealand. According to meteorological projections, Rawalpindi city will likely see clouds and rain the following day. The rainfall is predicted to last the whole week. The last (2) matches of the five-match series will be played in Lahore city. On April 18th, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts “rain / windstorm/ thunderstorm with a surrounded hailstorm” in many regions of Pakistan, such as {Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Balochistan, and (upper/southwest) Sindh}.

The Green Shirts and Black Caps will play their first T20I on April 18th at 7 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) in Rawalpindi. On April 20th, Pakistan Standard Time (PST), the second T20I will take place at 7 pm in Rawalpindi. On April 21st, Pakistan Standard Time (PST), the third T20I will take place at 7 pm in Rawalpindi. On April 25th, Pakistan Standard Time (PST), the fourth T20I will take place in Lahore at 7 pm. On April 27th, at 7 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST), the fifth T20I will take place in Lahore. Moreover, on Sunday, April 14th, Black Caps skipper Michael Bracewell and his squad landed in Islamabad ahead of their series played against the Green Shirts.

The Pakistani team’s practice set for Tuesday, April 16th, will be canceled. Rain is also expected in Rawalpindi, where (three of the five matches) are set to take place on April 18th, 20th, and 21st. The current situation is unfolding in an environment with recent moderate to severe rainfall across Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. Showers, severe thunderstorms, along with strong winds have affected a large amount of Balochistan as well as certain parts of Punjab.

Notably, Quetta received significant rains, which provided relief from the sweltering heat and created a pleasant temperature. Pakistan’s teams represent the following players: {Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Azam Khan (wicketkeeper), Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Amir, Abbas Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, Irfan Khan Niazi, Usama Mir, Zaman Khan}.
