According to sources on Friday 5th of September 2025, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather advisory, predicting strong thunderstorms in the majority of Punjab’s districts from September 6th to September 9th.

Strong monsoon showers are predicted for “Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Gujranwala”, according to PDMA. Around the same time frame, rain is expected in “Lahore, Gujrat, Sialkot, and a number of other places”. A PDMA official advised that flash floods could occur in Dera Ghazi Khan during September 7th and September 9th.

High Level Alertness

Commissioners and deputy commissioners throughout the province have been instructed by the PDMA to maintain a high level of alertness and adopt the appropriate safety precautions.
Over the next (12) hours, most of the country is predicted to have mostly hot and dry weather. However, isolated locations in upper “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and southeast Sindh and Balochistan” are predicted to have partly overcast weather with “rain, wind, and thundershowers”.

There are (24) degrees Celsius in Islamabad, (26) degrees in Lahore and Peshawar, (28) degrees in Karachi, (22) degrees in Quetta, (19) degrees in Gilgit, (24) degrees in Muzaffarabad, and (17) degrees in Murree.

The weather prediction for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir states that although Srinagar is anticipated to get partly cloudy conditions with the possibility of rain, wind, and thunder, “Jammu, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramula, and Leh” are predicted to see partly cloudy and dry conditions. The temperature this morning was: The temperatures in “Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian are (15) degrees Celsius, while those in Jammu are (24), Leh is (6), and Pulwama and Baramula are (14)”.
