An earthquake jolted many Pakistani cities on Tuesday 19th of August 2025, sending locals into a panic, according to reports.
Details indicate that several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including (Abbottabad, Mansehra, Mingora, Chitral, Swat, Battagram, Malakand, Haripur, and Khanpur, as well as Islamabad and Rawalpindi), experienced tremors.
Many recited Kalma-e-Tayyaba as they fled their homes and workplaces in terror due to the tremors. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of (5.2) and its epicenter was (190 kilometers) deep in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region.

There were no deaths or harm to property reported thus far, according to authorities. Notably, tremors were also detected in some areas of Balochistan and Sindh in June.
At that period, Gwadar had earthquakes with a Richter scale magnitude of (3.0) whereas Mirpur Khas had an earthquake with a magnitude of (3.5). Near Mirpur Sakro, another earthquake with a magnitude of (3.1) was also recorded.
