Pakistan’s Delegation To The UNGA Will Be Led By Shehbaz Sharif.

On Monday 22nd of September 2025, Pakistan’s delegation to the high-level portion of the “80th Session” of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which starts in New York, will be led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with other ministers and high-ranking officials, will go with him. In his speech at the General Assembly, the Prime Minister will call on the international community for solving the issues of continuous occupation and the rejection of Palestinian and Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s right to independent government.
The prime minister will appeal for swift action to put an end to the Palestinians’ suffering and bring the serious situation in Gaza to the notice of the world community. Along with other global concerns such as “climate change, terrorism, Islamophobia, and environmentally friendly development”, he will also convey Pakistan’s viewpoint on the state of regional safety.
On the borders of the UN General Assembly session, Shehbaz Sharif will be present at a number of high-level gatherings, such as a “Special High-Level Event on Climate Action, a High-Level Meeting of the Global Development Initiative, and significant UN Security Council discussions”.Additionally, he will attend a meeting between U.S. President Trump and a few chosen Islamic leaders to discuss matters related to regional and global peace and security. On the sidelines, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet personally with a number of foreign leaders and top UN officials to discuss topics of shared interest.
