The government issued a statement in which it said that at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Pakistani delegation, headed by Shehbaz Sharif, is ready to speak for the rights of the innocent Gaza people.

Pakistan spoke for Gaza at UNGA:

In September every year, world leaders gather and make speeches to draw the attention of the diverse and wider international communities to the Palestinian and Kashmir crises. At this year’s September meeting, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will strictly tell the international community about the worst conditions of Palestine and Kashmir and also urge them to take measures to protect the rights of these people.

In a post on X by the Pakistani government, it is said that Pakistan will talk about other matters, too. It includes terrorism, climate change, Islamophobia, terrorism, and sustainable development. Moreover, Pakistan will also put forward its stance on the regional security situation.

As per the statement, “Shehbaz’s participation in this biggest annual gathering of global leaders will showcase Pakistan’s strong commitment to multilateralism and the United Nations and to highlight Pakistan’s longstanding contribution towards the shared objectives of peace and development.”

Shehbaz Sharif reached New York late Monday night. He will participate in the meeting along with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dae, along with other senior officials.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Pakistan also holds meetings with other world leaders, including the Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, the Kuwait Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.

In Shehbaz’s bilateral meeting with the world leaders and UN members, he will talk about the mutual topics of their interest. The statement also added, “He will also underline Pakistan’s resolve to work with all UN Member States to uphold the UN Charter, prevent conflict, foster peace and promote global prosperity in Pakistan’s current role as a member of the Security Council.”

The US stance on Gaza matter:

Shehbaz has also planned his other meetings, including meetings with the UN Security Council and other high-level meetings. The statement said, “Recommit to our Original Aspirations, United to Build a Brighter Future of Global Development and a special high-level event on climate action.”

The United States and Qatar hosted a special summit for the Muslim countries. On Monday, White House Press Secretary told reporters that Trump will talk with the leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan. According to the sources, the meeting will discuss Gaza as well.

In addition, it is expected that the US president wants the Muslim countries to expel the Israeli military from Gaza and also wants to secure funding for transition and rebuilding masters.
