WASHINGTON- According to the sources, Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir is expected to revisit the USA to meet his American counterparts.

In late July, the head of the US Central Command, General Michael Erik Kurilla, visited Pakistan and the other countries in the region. While visiting Pakistan, he was presented with the Nishan-e-Imtiaz by the Pakistani government.

In July, for the first time in history, General Asim Munir was invited by US President Donald Trump for lunch. The lunch was scheduled at the White House. However, there is no official statement regarding his visit by the ISPR or the Pakistan embassy in Washington. Though there was a hint of revisiting the USA in the same year by the Army Chief.

The US-Pakistan bonding:

Pakistan and the US bonding has been flourishing over time. The bond gained strength when the US president, Donald Trump, appreciated the country’s military performance. He said Pakistan has done really well to combat terrorism. He also added that Pakistan is an extraordinary partner in promoting peace and stability in the region.

Talks over the Presidency:

In a separate statement, the Army staff has nullified all the rumors circulating around the presidential race of the Chief of Army Staff. He clearly uttered, “There is no talk about the president being asked to resign or the COAS aspiring to assume the presidency.” He rejected all the rumors and called them “baseless”, “insane.”
