OGRA announces drop in LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) pricing

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a drop in April’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) pricing. According to data, LPG rates have decreased by Rs 6.44 per kg, bringing the price down from Rs 256.78 to Rs 250.34. The household LPG cylinder price increased by Rs 76.9 and is now Rs 2954.03 for April, up from Rs 3030.12. OGRA has announced a drop in LPG pricing. The latest pricing increases are for April.

The decision occurred after government officials raised the petrol rate by Rs9.66 per liter while lowering the diesel price with a high speed (HSD) by Rs3.32 per liter a few hours ago. The current statement increased the petrol price from Rs279.75 to Rs289.41 per liter, whereas the high-speed diesel (HSD) pricing was cut from Rs278.92 to Rs282.24. According to a statement from the Finance Ministry, the adjustments were caused by increased petrol costs and reduced HSD pricing in the international marketplace.

It said that the change in pricing was to the government’s goal of reflecting price changes in the foreign market on the local market. The new petroleum product pricing will take effect on April 1, 2024. This price reduction is good news for customers since it provides comfort in the face of ongoing economic difficulties. The fall in LPG costs is likely to favor family budgets, especially for those who use LPG for heating and cooking.
