US Secretary of State Antony John Blinken comes to the Middle East on Wednesday for his 6th visit since Israel’s battle with Hamas to continue calling for a settlement involving a short-term cease-fire and the safe return of Hamas hostages.
Antony Jhon Blinken will meet with Saudi and Egyptian authorities in Jeddah and Cairo to discuss dialogue supported by Egypt and Qatar on a settlement, in addition to plans to get further aid into Gaza, according to State Department representative Matthew Miller. Even talks on a cease-fire continue this week in Qatar.
Still, weeks of challenging discussions have not resulted in a contract between Israel and Hamas, which Washington expects would help ease Gaza’s humanitarian disaster. Furthermore, he added his plans to continue discussions about the war government, safety, and recovery in Gaza.
