On Monday 7th of October 2025, (6) passengers were hurt when the railway track in Shikarpur exploded with explosives, causing the (5) bogies of the Rawalpindi to Quetta Jaffar Express to derrail.

Officials say that in order to provide medical attention, the injured have been moved to a neighboring hospital. The terrorist attack took place in the Shikarpur area of Sindh, close to the Sultan Kot railway station.

According to security officials, the railway line explosion incident included the banned BLA. Railway traffic has been stopped by the authorities. The scene of the incident has been sealed off by police, who are also gathering evidence.

According to railway officials, relief teams from Sukkur were called in and have begun repairing the damaged section of the track and removing the impacted railway bogies. Three of the Jaffar Express’s carriages were derailed on Tuesday, September 23rd, and one of them overturned following a strong explosion on the railroad track.

While (6) people were hurt in the event, according to Railway Police, but their condition is said to be safe. Jaffar Express went off the rails due to the blast, which happened approximately (45) minutes before it arrived at the impacted section of track.
