Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) imposes five-year suspension on Usman Khan

The Emirate Cricket Board (ECB) suspended (RIGHT-HAND) opener Usman Khan for five years after “violating his responsibilities” to the cricketing authority. After a thorough examination, the ECB found that Usman Khan was mistaken in playing for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national men’s cricket team. “After a full investigation, Usman appears to have confused the Emirates Cricket Board information regarding his choice to play for the United Arab Emirates team, as well as adopted all the chances and training given by the Emirates Cricket Board to look into other inquiries, and it was clear that he no more wanted to play for the ECB either perform the necessary requirements for eligibility that he was required to do,” the Emirates Cricket Board stated. Usman Khan, a local cricket player, competed in the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Authorized International League T20 Season 2 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Classification before this year.

The Emirates Cricket Board also signed an ECB Service Contract together with Usman Khan for the duration of one year. This was done to provide him with protection and enable him to meet the eligibility requirements for representing the UAE in international cricket. The suspension will stop Usman Khan from playing in any Emirate Cricket Board (ECB) events for five years. Usman has been judged to have broken his responsibilities to ECB and will thus be restricted from participating in Emirate Cricket Board (ECB) sanctioned tournaments/leagues or any other local events held under the supervision of councils/academies in the United Arab Emirates for a time frame of 5 years, the Emirate Cricket Board (ECB) determined.

For those unidentified, Usman Khan, who had previously played in the (Pakistan Super League) PSL as an abroad player, was surprised with his continuous batting feats and was asked by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to think about serving his hometown. Eventually was then named one of (29) players taking part in a continuing strength-training program at Kakul, Abbottabad, in partnership with the Pakistani military. The training is set to end on 8th April, and reports indicate that the Pakistan team for the readily available match home T20I series versus New Zealand will be selected from the (29) players.
