Akif Javed Likely to Replace Haris Rauf in Upcoming Matches

According to sources, “left arm seamer Akif Javed” is being reviewed as a possible substitute for Haris Rauf, who is injured, in the current “tri-nation” series.

In the “tri-nation” series match between Pakistan and New Zealand, Haris Rauf was injured. The board said that the “right arm” bowler will be rested for Pakistan’s match against South Africa due to a lower chest muscle strain he sustained during the match. “It has been verified that Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf suffered a sprain of the lower chest wall during Saturday’s 8th of Feb match against New Zealand, based on (MRI and X-ray) examinations”.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement that the injury is not significant and that he should be fully healed for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which starts in Karachi on the nineteenth of February.
