Cricket Players Demand Justice For Swat River Disaster Victims

Cricket players from Pakistan have voiced their deep sadness and dissatisfaction over the Swat River accident, in which (17) tourists were washed away by unexpected flash floods.
The way in which the authorities handled the issue has been widely criticized. The victims waited in vain for rescue that never came, according to former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who went to X to criticize the authorities for their negligence.

“People who were innocent were waiting for help to arrive at the last second. However, they were unaware that the people in charge of their safety had different priorities,” Afridi expressed.
The tragedy also greatly affected Pacer Mir Hamza. He expressed his annoyance, calling the tragedy a total system failure. He demanded stringent responsibility.
“This is not a tragedy; rather, it is a system disappointing others, and our system failing is at its worst. I am unable to watch this video.” Punishment is necessary for those who are accountable.
Further he wrote, “Big shame!” on X. The public is furious about the tragedy, and many people are criticizing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s response, which is headed by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Critics contend that the deaths were caused in part by lack of preparation and a delayed reaction.
